How to Create a Media Player on the New Dashboard

You can create a media player from a separate Show&Tour Website and embed it into a project’s Delivery Page or Website. This allows visitors to open and play a selected photo gallery directly from the page.

Before You Start

Make sure your project already contains the photo gallery you want to display in the media player.

Step 1: Create a Website for the Media Player

  1. Open the project where you want to create the media player.

  2. Below the existing Delivery Page and Website, click Create.

  3. Select Website.

  4. Enter Media Player as the website name.

  5. Choose the Classic design template.

  6. Click Create Website.

This new Website will be used as your media player.

Step 2: Add media

  1. Open the newly created Media Player Website.

  2. Add the media you want to display.

  3. To reuse a gallery from the project’s Delivery Page or another Website, select Existing Section.

  4. Choose the gallery you want to use.

You only need to add the gallery or media that you want visitors to see in the media player.

Step 3: Apply the Media Player Template

  1. Click Design Settings.

  2. Open the Templates page.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the available templates.

  4. Select the template named Media Player.

  5. Click Publish Changes.

The Website will now use the Media Player layout.

Step 4: Copy the Media Player URL

  1. Go to the Media Player’s Website Settings.

  2. Find the Website URL.

  3. Click Copy to copy the URL.

Step 5: Add the Media Player to a Website

  1. Return to the Website where you want the media player to appear.

  2. Find the Link/Embed Code box.

  3. Paste the Media Player URL into the box.

  4. Show&Tour will create a new section named External Media.

  5. Rename the section Media Player.

  6. Save and publish your changes.

Step 6: Add the Media Player to a delivery page

  1. Go to the bottom of the delivery page and click on "Existing Section".

  2. Select the Media Player you have created.

  3. The Media Player will be added to the delivery page automatically.

Preview the Media Player

Open or preview the destination Website or Delivery Page. You should now see a section named Media Player.

Click Play to open the gallery in the media player.
