Follow these steps to diagnose and fix the connection.
Step 1: Run a Domain Diagnostic
The first step is to see if your domain is properly "pointing" to Show&Tour. We recommend using a tool like nslookup.io to check your DNS records.
What to look for: Search for your custom domain (e.g.,
media.yourbrand.com).The Result: If no CNAME record appears in the results, it means our system isn't receiving the signal it needs to connect your domain to our platform.
Note: If the record is missing, the issue is originating from your DNS provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Google, Cloudflare) rather than a bug within Show&Tour.
Step 2: Update Your DNS Settings
To resolve a missing or broken connection, you will need to log in to your domain registrar account and verify your settings.
Log in to your DNS account: Navigate to the DNS Management or DNS Settings page.
Locate the CNAME: Verify that the required CNAME record has actually been created.
Verify the Values: Ensure the "Name/Host" and the "Value/Points To" fields match the requirements found in your Show&Tour Design Settings.
Check for Typos: Double-check for extra spaces or small spelling errors, as these will prevent the link from working.
Step 3: Wait for Propagation
Once you add or update a CNAME record, the changes are not always instant.
Timing: It can take anywhere from a few minutes up to 48 hours for changes to "propagate" (update across the global internet), though for most modern providers, it is usually quite fast.
